Hi Keith,

Thanks for posting about your Avvo Rating drop and allowing us the opportunity to respond. It is true that the weight given to information in your profile decreases over time. This is in line with our belief that the most recent information matters the most.

However, the drop you saw this past weekend was the result of a change we made to the algorithm that calculates the Avvo Rating. We adjusted some of the weightings and as a result some of the information in your profile that was previously receiving credit, is no longer getting the same value. The algorithm change affected the Ratings of thousands of attorneys on Avvo.

While some of the weightings have changed, the Avvo Rating is still based on your activity within the legal community.
